Ellen was our doula for my first son’s labor and delivery giving me insight into the incredible and stable support she knew innately how to give no matter how tumultuous the circumstance was. Then, while pregnant with my third, we were lucky enough to have her as our midwife. Ellen has knowledge and experience that presents itself at exactly the moment you need it. She has become family to us, and that’s because she supports like the best of family members can. With care that is personal, her desire to deeply understand and respect what will make for the best setting, extent of intervention, etc allows for a pregnancy process and birth that is designed by you and for you. Ellen knew exactly how to help me physically and emotionally during the toughest of moments throughout labor, using a breadth of knowledge that eased my state without any projection of concern or urgency. I cannot recommend this wonderful woman enough. Although she helps you to bring your baby into the world, she knows first it enters into your home and family.
