About the Founder
Ellen Sidles is a birth worker who brings to her midwifery practice 35 years of well-rounded practice, including 12 years of focused homebirth assisting. She has been fortunate to have worked alongside many skilled midwives and is now the primary home birth midwife at Sunflower Midwives NY. Her focus is on each birthing person as a unique individual in the context of a whole network of support and is honored to hold space for health and safety as they grow and give birth to a new family member as well as integrate in the crucial postpartum period. Her services include pre-conception, prenatal, homebirth, postpartum, breastfeeding support, and gynecology. All services are offered in the comfort of your home as well as in-office.

My role as your midwife is an honor and a privilege that I bring my heart to as well as my expertise and experience. Your health and wellness are as much about how you feel about yourself and how you are treated in the process of receiving care as any other aspect, including "expert advice."
I will give my attention to your unique experience as a human being and the universal values that we want for ourselves--compassion, kindness, feeling seen and heard.
